Caponi Art Park is a leading arts center in Dakota County and a hub for artists from across the Twin Cities to create and share their work with the community. Our mission is to nurture and restore the human spirit through art, nature, and community. Our vision is for the art park to be firmly rooted in our local community and known throughout the region for the dynamic quality of art we offer in a unique natural setting. Located in Eagan, Minnesota on 60-acres of wooded hills, the art park features over 55 sculptures by eleven local and international artists, a large outdoor amphitheater for performances, and miles of walking trails. More than 12,000 people visit the art park each year to enrich their lives through hands-on creative activities, diverse cultural events, and to immerse themselves in the uniquely designed park grounds that blend art and nature. We believe everyone has an innate connection to nature and by integrating art into the natural environment we can break down the barriers that keep people from engaging fully in the arts and with one another. The art park invites visitors to experience a deep connection with art and nature in an environment that encourages discovery and sparks creativity. A core value guiding our work is to make art and creativity a part of daily life in equitable and inclusive ways. We achieve our goals by bringing artists to perform and create locally, and by using the arts and the art park's natural setting to bring people together in a shared sense of community. There is no fee to visit the park and our programs are free or low-cost. Through our educational programs and creative activities the Caponi Art Park provides opportunities for people to learn, develop skills, and express themselves. We serve over 2,200 participants of all ages and abilities each year through guided tours, hands-on workshops, yoga, and forest bathing classes.
